Glenn Close is my Cruella. I’m a little disappointed that while Emma Stone is a great actress I don’t think her facial features and presence captures the animated original version of Cruella. Glenn Close was almost the exact live version of Cruella when I saw her then as if she walked out of the screen. This Cruella is like a Harley Quinn Cruella.

It looks ok. I just wish these movies would do something original with these characters. Something dark to make us clasp our pearls. It's almost like these movies are scared to do something completely different. Why do these wigs have to look so much like wigs; natural hair couldn't hurt. I can't bring myself to watch Mulan. Cinderella and Beauty and the beast both had too much of a costumey feel to them. Like watching broadway in a way. The lion kind was aweful. Aladdin was a bit better, but still too much of that costume feeling. I don't get it sometimes. Hire new people with new ideas and a whole different vibe. I wanna scream "Get with the times"!

Long ago I wondered if the story had her orginally named "Ella" and she earned the moniker "Cruel Ella" which got shortened to just Cruella. But watching this trailer, I guess not.

In all seriousness I like the look and style. But I’m an adult. But ultimately she is a poacher and it’s too dark for “Disney toy line.” I hope they keep this for adults, pull no punches, and go full bad. If they try to justify anything it will be an eye turner.
